Abstract The Purviance papers contains correspondence pertaining to the Maryland Committee of Safety, of which Robert and Samuel Purviance were both members during the Revolutionary war. These letters describe the progress of the campaigns, as well as the efforts to provide supplies of salt, guns, and ammunition for the soldiers of the Continental Army.
